A little too much holiday left over at the end of the holiday?
Step one is to determine where your issue is.
Tight in the seat requires more coverage. Just top with a tunic or sweater and a great scarf that draws attention up! Consider asymmetrical hems. Darker on the heavy area recedes, lighter on the lighter area is more visible. Pops of color and accessories save the day.
Tight over the waist band area (no matter what, do not wear clothing that shows a muffin top over your pants) is fixable as well. A cropped blazer looks good over pants that are too tight in the waistband, but good in the seat. A woman who gains in the waist and not in the seat (an “apple”) will benefit from showing off her slim derriere and legs. Don’t tuck in your shirts.
